CHCI Welcomes New Member: Rafael Patrick
Rafael Patrick, a faculty member in the VT Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE), has been participating in CHCI since 2018. His main area of research is human factors psychology and systems engineering. Rafael describes his interests in HCI this way: "A notable topic within the domain of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is exploring the interaction between physical and psychological concepts depicted in psychophysics. As a human factors engineer and faculty affiliate of CHCI, my work will focus on the seamless integration of human and computer components for optimal system performance by maximizing psychophysical capabilities and implementing a user-centered design approach to improve user experiences within dynamic real-world and immersive environments.”
