CHCI Alumni Highlight- Charlotte de Wolfe
Charlotte de Wolfe, BA of Fine Arts (BFA), works as a lead product designer at Axios. She is currently working on a project that aims to improve the efficiency and efficacy of email communications. Charlotte works closely with data scientists who develop machine learning systems to support this product and engineers who bring her designs to life.
While at VT, she studied User Experience (UX) Design and User Interface (UI) Design and excelled in the areas of brand design, packaging, and illustration. Charlotte describes her time with CHCI: “My experience with the CHCI at VT prepared me greatly for this project as the research I participated in during my undergrad dealt with news scraping and content organization using AI, ML, and UX in emerging technologies.” Upon graduating from the VT School of Visual Arts (SOVA) in 2018 (Advisor, Meaghan Dee), she worked at WillowTree Apps in Charlottesville before joining Axios in New York.
