CHCI affiliates Chris North, Kurt Luther, and Ed Fox are among the CoE faculty honored with a 2024 College of Engineering (CoE) Dean's Award for Excellence. The Dean's Awards for Excellence recognize faculty members' incredible work, which has directly or indirectly impacted students' success.

Chris North, Department of Computer Science

Chris North: Excellence in Teaching

Examples of activities that may be recognized with the Excellence in Teaching Award include classroom teaching improvements, new course development, curricular reform, distance learning and web-based courses, the guidance of student projects, or a stellar record in graduate student supervision. Recipients receive a $1000 award.

Kurt Luther, Department of Computer Science

Kurt Luther: Excellence in Outreach

The Excellence in Outreach Award recognizes faculty for outstanding achievements that contribute to the outreach mission of the college. Recipients of the College Award for Outreach Excellence receive a $500 award.

Edward A. Fox, Department of Computer Science

Ed Fox: W.S "Pete" White Award for Innovation in Engineering Education

The W.S. “Pete” White Innovation in Engineering Education Award recognizes faculty who excel in the development of courses that incorporate both technological and pedagogical innovation. It honors faculty who provide creative and unique ways to impact student learning. Recipients receive a $1000 award.
