2023 VIRGINIA TECH ENGINEERING DEAN’S AWARDS for EXCELLENCE

CHCI affiliates Abiola Akanmu, Bo Ji and Dylan Losey were among the faculty honored with a 2023 College of Engineering Dean's Award for Excellence. These awards recognize faculty members’ outstanding work in one of several categories (e.g., faculty fellowships, outstanding new assistant professor).

FACULTY FELLOW

The College of Engineering Faculty Fellowships acknowledge and reward tenure-track faculty in junior ranks who have shown exceptional merit in research, teaching and/or service. Each Fellow receives $5,000 per year for three years as discretionary operating funds. This year, Abiola Akanmu and Bo Ji, among others, received Faculty Fellowships.

OUTSTANDING NEW ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

The Outstanding New Assistant Professor Award is presented to recently hired tenure-track faculty who have performed exceptionally well in scholarship, research, and teaching. This year, Dylan Losey, among others, received an Outstanding New Assistant Professor Award.
